Copper Sarf Pin Or Cardigan Closure With Carnelian Stone
This beautiful copper pin makes a lovely statement when setting off a shawl, scarf or jumper. It is perfect for keeping a cardigan closed.
I have used pure copper that has been shaped, hammered, sanded, antiqued and polished.
The accent bead is a carnelian. Carnelian is a colourful quartz of the Chalcedony variety. It usually comes in red-orange, pink, and brown colour, and it’s often a translucent stone.
Like all fire stones, Carnelian infuses the body with life and light calling on the powers of physical energy. It’s all about stimulating the muscles, helping oxygen to find its free flow, and keeping your tissues and organs flushed with the finest health.
The pin is 4.7cm long and 5.2 wide
All of my collection is handmade in Sydney in my home studio in the Hills District.
Your piece can be made to order so feel free to ask for customisation such as the addition of your favourite coloured bead or a different size.
I take great pride in every piece I create and I hope that you will love your new piece as much as I loved creating it.
The copper has been oxidized and scrubbed with steel wool and then polished for a soft patina. The copper has not been sealed and will age over time.
Your jewellery can be kept shined by rubbing with a jewellery polishing cloth or with steel wool. If you prefer, you can return your item to its fully shiny state by soaking it in lemon juice or salt and vinegar, giving it a brush with and old toothbrush then clean with dish soap, rinse and pat dry with a soft cloth.
Free gift wrapping and gift card available on request.
**A NOTE: Wire wrapping is a genre of jewellery which requires pliable wire to be shaped into each piece. As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and sometimes it is hammered for further strength. It will retain its shape, however if you try to bend it or it gets squashed, it will bend. Do not place your wire wrapped jewellery in a purse or pocket.
I do my best to take accurate and attractive photos that are true to colour using natural light. Colours will vary slightly from one computer monitor to another.
