Original Painting Oriental Kingfisher
On my travels through Asia a few years ago I had the pleasure to see a few of these cuties in the wild. Of course I snapped away with photo’s knowing that I would paint these one day.
They’re so small, elegant with such a spectacular array of colours.

It took a few weeks to complete this painting, as you can see lots and lots of detail.
This original acrylic artwork handmade in Sydney, created onto a gallery wrapped, stretched canvas. All edges of the canvas are painted with the main colour of the background.
