Ceramic Vase, Pottery Flower Holder, Handmade in Adelaide

A unique handmade ceramic vase with a leaf motif and an irregular rim. Handmade in Adelaide, South Australia.

This vase has been handcrafted using slabs of clay, glazed in white, and fired to high temperatures in a kiln. The rim has been hand cut in an irregular undulating pattern giving the vase a unique, contemporary appearance. The leaf design is created using a resist method that exposes the natural colour of the clay underneath in the areas of the foliage motif. The clay is delightfully speckled and the black speckles can be seen in the frond motif and through the white glaze. 

Dimensions: 18.5cm in height and 8cm in diameter at the rim. (Flowers are not included).
