It’s a late afternoon in Sydney and the sun is slowly descending in the west. You grab your camera to capture those beautiful warm tones that light up the Iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, then look who drops in, a cheeky, young Kookaburra who wants to steal the spotlight.

That is exactly what I wanted to capture with this painting. The young Kookaburra was my focus and then I moulded the harbour landscape around him, into the background.
