It’s an unfortunate fact of life that many people live their lives in a mechanical way, which is to say they go through all the motions without really taking some time to themselves in order to disconnect and decompress. This became very apparent to naturopath Denise Harvey, whose clients all shared a similar trend in their lives: they were all overworked, overwhelmed, and stressed. Wanting to be able to offer her clients something they could use on a daily basis to help with all the negative aspects, she created Inspired Health by Dee.
Denise has worked in the health and fitness industry ever since she finished school. She started a personal training business and after that, she decided to take the steps needed to become a naturopath. “I started studying to be a naturopath because I realized that whilst I knew a lot of exercise and human movement, I didn’t have the skills to be able to recommend nutrition and supplements to my clients,” she says.
Five years after making that decision, she graduated as a naturopath and founded Inspired Health by Dee. At her clinic she saw a wide range of clients on a daily basis, with problems ranging from stress, mood, immune system, weight loss, and gut and inflammatory issues. She came to see an underlying thread with all of these clients: they were all leading hectic lives and a great deal of their problems stemmed from that.
Wanting to be able to provide her clients with something they could do and use daily that would inject a bit of peace into their busy schedules, Denise created the Inspired Health by Dee Tea Range. The range includes all organic ingredients sourced from Australia wherever possible. All of them are hand blended by Denise herself, because she firmly believes in the power of intention and that things made by love are far more potent than those made without. The Inspired Health by Dee tea range contains a bevy of different teas, all of them meant to impart a little bit of peace and contentment. The teas can be enjoyed hot or cold, with sweetener or without.
It’s not all about the teas themselves, though. The actual process of brewing and making a cup of loose leaf tea can have a positive impact, too, as it can create an atmosphere of calm mindfulness in an otherwise busy lifestyle. As Denise states, “I believe that there is something really special in the process of brewing and making a cup of loose leaf tea. It captures that much needed 5-10 minutes and gives back to busy, tired and stressed people.”
Denise still sees patients in her naturopathic clinic while managing Inspired Health by Dee. She has a strong passion for helping women with issues that stem from hormones, particularly those who suffer with endometriosis. It’s her aim to empower all women to achieve optimal health so that they can fulfill their dreams and go on to inspire those around them. She does this by using a combination of nutrition, movement, herbal medicines, and lifestyle changes.
