Earring aficionados who are always on the lookout for new pieces that embody creativity, fun, and free spirit need look no further than the collections of Roni & Poly. Prismatic, textured, and available in a bevy of different shapes and sizes, these earrings are more than just mere accessories – they’re statements about who you are, what you love, and how you think.
A One Woman Show
Meet Roni, the sassy Sydney based girl boss of Roni & Poly. If you haven't guessed yet, 'Poly' is the polymer clay she uses in her making. In between the chaos of mum life, work, and study, Roni harnesses her creative mojo to make polymer clay and resin jewellery. Channelling her deep love for creating, her vibrant and fresh earrings and necklaces are inspired by nature, the humdrum of daily life, retro designs, and her Spanish and South American heritage.
Instilling Joy and Purpose
Behind her loud and colourful pieces, Roni has an important message behind her jewellery: she hopes to instil customers with confidence and self compassion.
"The intention behind my jewellery is to give people a voice to embrace their playful side and feel good about themselves,” she states. “Life is stressful and we hate on ourselves way too much!"
It’s easy to see her goal when you take a look at her designs. Whether you’re the kind of person who enjoys the glamour of glitter or you prefer the subtler, more natural approach, Roni makes earrings that can be worn by almost anyone, suffusing the wearer with a sense of assurance. We all know how we feel when wearing an outfit we know we look good in. Being able to enhance that feeling by donning a pair of earrings that perfectly encapsulates our winsome, carefree sides can really bolster our moods and sense of presence.
Eco-Conscious Creator
Roni is a one gal show and is behind every aspect of the design and making process. She is passionate about creating pieces that are sustainably and ethically made and works hard to use resin and polymer clay responsibly. This includes repurposing pieces that don't make the cut and using scrap clay to make fresh new designs, avoiding the use of single use plastics in the making process, using plastic free compostable and recyclable packaging materials, using a carbon neutral postal service, using biodegradable glitter, ethically sourced mica powders, and biodegradable moulds. She’s also committed to supporting other small Australian businesses and makers, sourcing her clay, moulds, and supplies from local Aussie stockists.
Roni’s mix of creativity and a eco-friendly mindset is a highly commendable one, and it has resulted in an accessory style that is distinct and memorable. Those who share Roni’s environmental concerns already know how tough it can be to find beautiful, high-quality jewellery that hasn’t left a negative environmental impact, which is another thing that makes her pieces so special.
“I make jewellery for those who care about handmade, ethically sourced, and environmentally conscious fashion. People who are passionate about supporting Aussie makers. Who are not afraid to stand out and speak their mind.”
